Last week

Last week the whole class had an outdoor week, I however only got to go for two days. The first day the whole class went to Jellie Park the second day was Rumbustification day which is  a day where  there is fun stuff in every class room  and you get to go around every class room and chose what to do. we have normal breaks but we don't do any work at all.  This week is our last week which is only two and a half days so far we have only done blog  work because yesterday ( Monday ) we did blog work from 9:00 till 10:40 then we did silent reading from 11:00 to 11:30 then bullrush from 11:30 to 12:15 then we had a showcase assembly from 1:00 to 3:00  I found the show case boring in some parts the part where the teachers made a remix of old town road was hilarious.

Wk7 X scores

As you can see this week I improved on my 6, 7, 8, and 9 Multiplication skills, you can tell that by how on Tuesday most of my scores were 7's on Wednesday most of my scores were 10's but I did get one 9. On Thursday we had tech so we didn't do math, and on Friday all of my scores were 10's.

Maths Wk 5

For math this week we have been learning percentages.
We started off by doing 10% and then we learnt that if you have 20% of 60 you find what the ten percent is then multiply it by 2 so the 20% 60 would be 12.
let me explain it.
20% of 60?  10% of 60 is 6, then 6 x 2 = 12
so that would make the 20% of 60 12.

We have also been learning the mean (average) of a series of numbers.

Maia wilson

 
This is Maia Wilson, she is an attack player for  New Zealand silver ferns and the Australian stars. she has played for two seasons and is ready for her third in 2020.

I chose to put this video on my blog because she is my idol. I love how when shes out on the court she doesn't let anything defeat her. Shes a strong and caring person and from what iv'e seen on television and her netball games she has a very bubbly personality.

Science Experiments

This term in Science me Katelyn, Starlet and Maddy made Hokey Pokey.
The recipe we followed was correct but we read the instructions wrong, which caused us not to let it boil for the right amount of time. When we added the baking soda it didn't bubble nor react in anyway. We let it harden over night which was about 18 hours but when we all went to check it in the morning it had hardened overnight but was still sticky in the middle. Although it was under cooked we had fun making it and it didn't actually taste that bad I do feel a little bit sick in the stomach but owell.
Since we stuffed it up this time I think we will retry and research more this time.

 Last week we had a career expo for the juniours at my school. everyone in my class had there own learning process my learning started off with everyone taking a 76 question quiz. then  the results would show a range of jobs recommended for you. The next week we researched all of the jobs and narrow it down to just one job. The job i picked was police officer then into a detective. My stand at the career expo went okay not the best but every one told me it was to long so i took advantage of that and realised that i need to make it shorter and ii find what they told me very helpful. One of the thing i learnt was that you need to be a police officer for at least 5 years before going into a detective.

Wintersport

This term we started winter sport,I'm doing netball we have only had three games.The first game we had mixed up teams because we hadn't done trials. I got into the A team but my friend didn't so I felt bad. There is some people in my team that I don't think should be in there.  we have won once out of 3 games. Overall I have liked being in that team and i´m looking forward to more games with my team.

READING THIS TERM

for reading we have been reading subtitles on movies.Every Tuesday and Friday we do rotations,and for one of them we have to read the subtitles and we do this thing called surprise subtitles.What happens is Sharon will pause the movie and the subtitle before is the surprise subtitle so you write it down and mark it at the end to see if your right.I think i need to improve on my focusing or my reading long words.

We are learning the difference between private and public information.

This week so far.............

His huge ears drag along the crummy tiled floor while he runs to see this mother. His bulky blue eyes sparkle in the sunlight as he jumps with joy.his ears flop around like washing on a washing line every time he walks.

His rough dark grey skin feels like a sand paper when you pat him. his long wrinkly  trunk waves in the wind.

Technology 14/3/19

Today at tech we did 2 things metals and food.

Food:
in food we made breakfast on the go breakfast it contained frozen berries,oats,coconut,oil,white sugar,brown sugar and sugar. we when we ate it it was good.
we had to be careful because we used the oven.


metals:
in metals we made stickman sculptures they were hard because you had to measure every little bit of metal. and stick it on to a piece of paper.
